True Purpose and Self-Belief

Week 12:

What I Learned:
I really loved the video "Entrepreneurship and Consecration". It taught me so much! I learned that I need to teach myself that it is not what I have, but what I am. Who you are is not what you say, but what you do. I need to listen to the voice within and the voice of God rather than the voice of the world; be inward focused but outward driven. I learned that I need to turn to the scriptures to know how to run my business. It has it all! I need to do all things for the purpose of doing the will of the Lord. If making tons of money is my purpose, even if it is for the purpose of helping others, I will not be happy, nor will I be where the Lord wants me to be. The voice of God is needed in my financial business.
I also learned that when we begin to make service to others needs our constant progress, our needs will be met. The talent of men of business is to be used to benefit all people; to uplift the masses and rescue them from poverty. We must use our means to rescue and be willing to die for things loved and lost.
In addition, I learned that believing in ourselves is the first step in the Hero’s Journey. Believing in ourselves helps us to take the leap of faith that plunges us into the unknown of the journey; believing in ourselves also helps us to take each new step after that leap is made. Believing in ourselves causes us to become creators and acting agents in our lives rather than victims that sit and wait for good things to happen to them. And part of believing in ourselves is believing in our dreams.

What I Need to Learn:
I need to learn to use positive self-talk rather than negative so I may begin to believe in myself and my ability to accomplish. I need to believe in my dreams and visualize them so I may know that they truly can happen, and they will indeed happen as I continue to work toward them. I also need to learn how I can better use my gifts and talents to uplift and serve others in the ways they need, and to become a better instrument in the hands of the Lord.
